ABOUT
Zoë Cosentino is an indie-folk singer/songwriter from Farmington, CT, now based in Los angeles, CA. Performing under the name Zoë Coz, she crafts introspective, story-telling driven music with a rich blend of folk, indie and alternative influences. Her debut single “9 to 5,” introduced her raw, expressive songwriting and she continues to build her sonic identity with releases like “Benny of the Basement,” and her latest, “Anvil;” a track with a melancholic soundscape that supports lyrics telling the story of a breakup, a homophobic mother, and finding perspective years later. Cosentino’s sound is shaped by the music she grew up with, drawing from a diverse mix of genres - grunge, folk, indie and classic singer-songwriter traditions. Influenced by artists like Adrianne Lenker, Labi Siffre, Hole, Wednesday, Radiohead, and more, she nostalgia with a fresh, modern perspective, creating music that feels both familiar and deeply personal.
